Thanks for dropping by! I’m the Lead Tutor, an award-winning producer, director, writer and company director at production house Bigger Picture Studios, which I set up in 2003. [We work with other tutors too and put their details here as and when]. Most important I will not patronise you. I don’t care what education you have or what you read. Am not some literary snob, far from it. What I want to do is help you get writing well! I first wrote a book when I was just 10. I love creating something from nothing. That\u2019s alchemy! The \u2018Deadliest Crash\u2019 story was in a book given to me \u2013 that [something I didn\u2019t really <\/em>want] changed my life forever! There began a long roller coaster ride!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Longlisted for a BAFTA for my film \u2018Grand Prix \u2013 the Killer Years\u2019, winning the Members Vote, this means I was nominated by my peers [I didn\u2019t put myself forward], and Grierson Nominated for \u2018Deadliest Crash\u2019 [you can\u2019t self-nominate at the Grierson\u2019s]. I\u2019ve also won many awards and nominations at Milan FICTS International Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve produced 5 books to date, two of which are best sellers \u2013 \u2018Grand Prix the Killer Years\u2019 and \u2018Butcher Boy\u2019. I personally outsold Berlinn, a huge publishers, with \u2018Killer Years\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I once made \u00a345,000 in 15 minutes, selling international rights to my work. I was paid \u00a319,000 for work I did not<\/em> do on a UK feature film project. Some of my factual film work has repeatedly made 6 figures in rights payments. Am telling you this not to show off, but so you know that I think commercially. I want you to make money too.<\/p>\n\n\n

I\u2019ve successfully pitched into the BBC, BBC Studios, BBC Films, ITV, Channel 4, Discovery, Bravo [Virgin], Berlinn, Northern Ireland Screen and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I lecture at the University of Bolton, currently teaching creativity, writing, film making and employability. I\u2019ve lectured at the University of York St John, Chester University, The Manchester College and guest-lectured at Salford University. I\u2019ve taught the private Bigger Picture writing course for many years, which is where this started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
