‘The course is absolutely brilliant and I would highly recommend it. I learned so much about structure, time, the use of our senses.
It’s peaceful, relaxing. Nervous at first, I almost didn’t go! But early on I said to myself ‘I can do this!’.
I’ve always wanted to write a book. I feel I have an interesting story to tell. Been thinking of writing a memoir for years. Didn’t have a clue where to start, never did anything about it. Procrastinated for a long time, way too long, putting it off.
I’ve always wanted to write a book. I feel I have an interesting story to tell. Been thinking of writing a memoir for years. Didn’t have a clue where to start, never did anything about it. Procrastinated for a long time, way too long, putting it off.
After discovering First Ten Pages taught in a ‘non-classroom environment’ I thought this was ideal for me.
Initially I was out of my comfort zone, but the tutor made me welcome and was calming, encouraging. I was comfortable, in a relaxed environment from the start. With no distractions I could focus immediately.
The location is perfect – taking in the fresh air, sights and sounds of the natural surroundings – woodlands, a river, birds, nature walks – this helped me tune into my creative senses. I didn’t realise how important nature is for creativity. I decided to study with First Ten Pages as I had no idea where to begin. I did the ‘Get Me Writing’ course. After just a few sessions I learned so much due to the effective structure of the classes, and the enthusiasm of the teacher, I soon left my nerves behind.
First Ten Pages have given me the inspiration I needed.
I am now a writer.
I am now writing.
Thank you so much.’
